All of the framed western art, framed Native American art, framed Civil War art as well as the religious and the other galleries are hand cut on a 21” Excaliber Scroll Saw. I do not mass produce, use laser cutting or CNC. The standard size of my art is either 11x14 or 16x20 (Frame Opening).
I use 1 3/4” wide framing members. The finished size including the matting is either
14 3/4“ x 17 3/4“ for an 11x14 cutting and 19 x 23 for a 16x20 cutting. Depending upon the complexity of the pattern, cutting, matting and framing usually takes between 40 and 200 hours.

All of my cuttings are from 1/8“ premium A4 oak. I do my own matting as well as build my own frames from solid oak stock. Your art will arrive ready for hanging, double matted, glazed, with a dust cover on the back, in addition to an engraved brass plate with the title engraved on it.

If you would prefer non-glare glazing in lieu of clear glazing, please add $12.

I do not stain the actual cutting, I apply a 50-50 mixture of Boiled Linseed Oil and Mineral Spirits to the cutting, which enhances the wood grain and I then apply three coats of a clear finish.

Usually the choice of mat colors, frame design and frame stain color is left to the discretion of the artist, however should you desire custom colors, that certainly is not a problem, just let me know what you would like and I will do my best to match your choice of colors. Since I double mat all of my art, be sure to choose two colors, one for the bottom mat and one for the top mat.

All in-stock orders are shipped within two business days. If I don’t have your order in stock, please allow two to three weeks for cutting, matting and framing.

CUSTOM PORTRAITS
Do you have a favorite photograph of a loved one, child, parent, spouse or animal that you would like to preserve and even hand down from generation to generation?
I now offer a custom portrait service. Just send me, via the email link below, your high-resolution (over 600 pixels) photograph and I will cut the image into wood. All custom portraits are matted, glazed and framed. Complexity of the photograph will determine the price. Give us a call for details.
